Checking in with the world… hope you’re all following medical recommendations and staying healthy. My heart goes out to all those who have lost loved ones in the last months – not just from #Covid-19 but from any illness. All losses are painful and unnecessary. Please, let’s continue #isolating until this horrid #virus is gone.
In the meantime, I’m finding lots to do. I’ve completed my memoir outline, and working on a #synopsis. It’s going well, but it’s my first time. I’d like to hear from #publishers, #editors, #agents, and #writers about what specifically works to sell our memoirs. For example, should my synopsis leave more to the imagination or is it better to dish it all out? Does the length requested really matter or is it best shorter and concise? Publishers don’t really have time to read pages and pages of a package… since they are surely #speed readers, so wouldn’t it be better just to read the book instead? If the book has been written anyway…
Please send your feedback as I continue to enjoy the quarantine for now…
